LOUISIANA FIRST QUARTER EXPORTS SURGE OVER 50 PERCENT,
REACHING $11.5 BILLION
Louisiana's worldwide merchandise exports, which had record years in 2006 and
2007, got off to a rousing start in the first quarter of 2008 with a 56.6
percent increase over the prior year’s first three months, according to a report
issued today by the World Trade Center of New Orleans.
